This 46 page resource contains child development profiles from birth to 18 years in the light of gender and sexuality as well as teaching content and reference to current online resources throughout the grades. It refers to specific pages in books by Lisa Romero to assist bringing together and extending the understanding of human development and relationships within the scope of this topic.
The document is an update to course notes for the three part training “Working Wholistically with Social Understanding Gender and Sexuality”. The course notes can now be downloaded here for free so that updates are accessible to support the work to be carried by trainees. Schools in which Developing the Self Developing the World facilitators deliver content to students can use the document as a resource for further curriculum activities throughout the year within existing lessons and various subjects and main lessons across the primary and high school grades. Parents, caregivers and healthcare workers also find the resource useful to understand the progressive nature of the changing consciousness of gender and sexuality within society and how to better understand the influence of the wider community on the conditions and belief in which young people are being raised.
Anyone may download and use the document to assist their individual understanding and support their individual work, while recognising that it is a supplement to three by three day training courses and not a stand alone document. To seek permission to use the document for anything other than personal use please email: firstname.lastname@example.org
