“Each step in the life of the earth is a potential step in the soul of each one of us who live upon it. We travel this vortex of growth, and each year we have the opportunity to take another step.”
- Lisa Romero, Renewing Festivals
Parents and educators are invited to look towards the cycles of the earth as a spiritual year presenting opportunities to find the “holy aspect” of our own being. When we then celebrate points of the year with festivals for children in our schools and homes, they may receive the fruits of our inner development as well as the foundations towards a spirit-led life.
In this gathering we shall begin with Eurythmy, followed by exploring the good, the beautiful and the true in the rhythms of life.
The content for these preparations is based upon ‘Renewing Festivals’ a lesson by Lisa Romero from our course Spirit-led Education for a Spirit-led Life and complemented with a lesson from the Foundations in Anthroposophy Course.

Mantles of care are offerings of materials, spaces and activities in ways that help care-givers, children and the community towards experiences of health in the physical body, soul and spirit. We will experience and consider mantles of care that can be included in daily school life so that each task is purposeful and goes towards the good. It is not what we offer, but the life that is behind what we offer that is nourishment for the child and prepares them for the opportunity for a spirit-led life. When the child experiences wholeness within themself it naturally follows that they can unite with and care for others, as well become independent thinkers that consider life and humanity as a whole.
