Caring for Health

Health Practitioners Supporting Schools, Communities and Families

A variety of ongoing, age-appropriate offerings, provide for both children and adults to care for body, soul and spirit. The focus is on renewing fundamental health understandings and practices that enliven and contribute to dynamic participation with life.

Care and Renewal - Supported Rest for Adults

Two or more practitioners come together to provide 2-3 hours of nourishing care practices. They are offered with the view to support bodily health and the evolving stages of inner growth. The intention is to support adults in rebuilding healing forces and enable the continued giving and healthy participation in life. The gatherings are composed in conversation with the group organiser and in relationship to the transition points in the earth’s rhythm.

Community groups and friends are invited to host a care and renewal gathering. We visit school parent groups, social and mature-age educational groups and privately arranged gatherings of friends.

In the Workplace - We offer care and renewal as part of professional development and faculty afternoons. Management are invited to start a conversation.

For the third year, we’ll be at the Steiner Teacher Intensives at Newcastle in January 2025. We offer short, potent care sessions before the morning lecture, lunchtime and at the end of the day. Be in touch to book a session.

Workshops

Workshops have an experiential component alongside an educational component to explore and deepen ways to care for health.

Mantles of Care in the Classroom and Home

Mantles of Care is part of care and renewal and workshops, and has become a program unto itself.

Mantles of Care revisit daily health and hygiene practices with the use of plants, natural materials and elements such as colour, texture, sound, tone, touch, rhythm, temperature. Together with wonder, reverence and uprightness of the adults providing care, the children’s etheric bodies are nourished and their forces of growth and learning more able to receive and partake in a day. Child Studies

Health practitioners contribute to observations and child studies with educators to individualise mantles of care for class groups and individual students as well as consider anthroposophic remedies, home-care, eurythmy and painting to support each child.
